Buyers Get Picky in US Housing Market

The quest for a ‘house-perfect’ is on! The reality of today’s real estate market is a total flip-flop of roles from those boom years of competing bids and buyers wooing sellers.  The New York Times reports that these ‘post-boom days’ more commonly see “…buyers, who must have learned their moves from the World Wrestling Federation, …coldly seeking the absolute best deal, while the sellers are left in emotional turmoil.” Unfortunately, the situation can result in a ‘loss-loss’ emotionally for both the buyers and the sellers, with neither feeling satisfaction with their ‘deal’. In the not-so-distant-past, we saw the pendulum swing eratically into Seller-Heaven; now it seems to be rebounding just as broadly into Buyer-Knows-No-Fear territory.
